A rock reef at Cannatello, a few kilometres east of San Leone on the south coast of Sicily. It gives lefts and rights, and on a good day the rides are long. Guides rate it one of the better waves of the region, but it needs a proper swell from the south.

Breaks only now and then, when a storm sends swell from the south-east to south-west; flat for long spells, especially in summer.

Usually quiet, with only a few surfers out even when it works.

Camping Internazionale Nettuno is about 1.5 km away and Camping Valle dei Templi about 5 km away. Nearest campsite about 1.5 km away.

Beach clubs and bars along the Cannatello and San Leone seafront; everything else in Agrigento.
Water quality
The EU bathing site at Cannatello was rated excellent from 2021 to 2025. The sites by the Naro river mouth, a few hundred metres east, were only sufficient in some recent years, so avoid the water after rain.
