A sand point at the mouth of the Acheron river, by the village of Ammoudia on the Ionian coast between Preveza and Parga. On a west swell, long lefts peel off the river-mouth sandbar; some local surfers rate it among the best waves in Greece. A beach break with rights works further along the bay on south-west swells.
