A small sandy cove of about 270 m just south-west of Benidorm, between the La Barreta hill and the rocky Xoriguer ridge. Easy, fun waves break over sand in several peaks. The right is one of the most regular waves in the Benidorm area; a left works only on a bigger south-west swell.

Local tips

The cove is sheltered, so the waves are often soft; bring a board with plenty of volume. Watch for the swimming-zone buoys.

Getting there

Travel notes

How often it works
Not very consistent: the sheltered cove needs a proper south-east to east swell, mostly in winter. When it works, the right breaks more often than anything else nearby.
Crowd and vibe
Crowded when it works, and very crowded on weekends, as it is the easy wave for the whole Benidorm area.
Camping and vans
Camping Alicante Imperium in Villajoyosa is about 5 km west, and Camping Villasol in Benidorm about 6 km north-east. Nearest campsite about 5 km away.
Facilities
An urban resort beach with lifeguards, toilets, a tourist office, restaurants and parking.
Water quality
The regional tourism site praises the water quality. Náyade results were not checked; a surf guide warns of pollution.
