Perranporth is a seaside town with a huge, flat beach that runs two miles north. The town end, near Droskyn Point and Chapel Rock, has the most reliable banks. Low tide brings a hollow, dumping shorebreak. As the tide rises, the waves get softer and the rides longer. Every level can find a wave here.

  • shorebreak

Local tips

At low tide, wedges form in the far left corner under the cliff, so have a look there. The rips can be strong, so watch the lifeguard flags.

Getting there

One car park is right next to the beach and has a ramp. There are more car parks in town, and steep steps lead down at Droskyn Point.

Facilities
Toilets by the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants in town, surf schools and hire, and lifeguards in summer.
