Local tips

In summer, look out for swimmers in the water. Respect the local surfers and wait your turn. Never surf alone. The tide is only a few centimetres, so it doesn't matter here. The sea drops to about 2 °C in winter: a 6/5 wetsuit or thicker, with boots, gloves and a hood.

Getting there

On the Varberg seaside promenade, a short walk from the town centre.

Travel notes

Apelvikens Camping is about 700 m away. Nearest campsite about 0.7 km away.
Facilities
None at the beach; cafés, shops and toilets in Varberg town.
