Local tips

Watch a few sets from the cliff before you go out, and never surf it alone. Wear a helmet and booties.

Getting there

From Vale da Telha, follow the coast road to the cliffs; the reef is reached by a long, hard paddle from the nearest cove, and some surfers come by boat.

Picks up most west swells, but it only turns on with enough size, the right tide and an east wind.
Crowd and vibe
Usually empty: few people can surf it.
