A south-facing reef and sand break in front of the beach west of Lesconil harbour, east of the Penmarc'h peninsula, sometimes called Risten. It needs a big, solid south-west swell to wrap onto the south coast, which locals say happens only a handful of times a year. Then a fast, powerful, mostly left-hand wave breaks over rock and sand, with the odd right and usually short rides, a quality wave for experienced surfers.

Local tips
Only check it when a large south-west swell with long gaps between waves is running and La Torche is too big; most of the time those who surf it say to drive to La Torche instead. Paddle out on the rising tide from low to mid and keep clear of the exposed rock as the water drops. With so few days a year, the line-up fills quickly with locals when it breaks.
Getting there
Drive to Lesconil and park near the harbour; the break sits off the beach, a few minutes' walk away.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Very unreliable. It faces south and is sheltered by the Penmarc'h peninsula from the usual west and north-west swells. It only works in a big south-west swell, which locals say happens just a few times a year.
- Crowd and vibe
- It works so rarely that it gets crowded with local surfers whenever it breaks, on weekdays too. Expect a tight group of experienced surfers on a short reef wave, so wait your turn.
- Camping and vans
- Camping La Grande Plage (Flower) is about 1 km east, right on Lesconil's Grande Plage. It has a motorhome service point that passing vans can use. The small 2-star Camping Les Sables Blancs at Keralouet is about 2 km away. Nearest campsite about 1 km away.
- Facilities
- Lesconil's beaches have no lifeguards, toilets or showers listed. Cafés and shops are in the harbour village; for surf schools and board hire, go to La Torche.
- Water quality
- Both tested Lesconil beaches, Petite Plage and Les 4 Vents, were rated excellent by the ARS every year from 2022 to 2025. The break is right next to a working fishing harbour.
