Torreira is a very wide, west-facing beach on the sand spit between the Atlantic and the Ria de Aveiro, in a dune reserve with miles of empty beach breaks around it. It is very exposed and almost never flat, but it does not handle big swells. The best peaks are next to the sea wall in front of the village.
