A boulder reef at the end of the Mølen pebble beach near Nevlunghavn, on the Skagerrak coast south of Oslo. Lefts and rights break over rock in a south to south-west swell. It does not work often, but when it does it has fast, powerful sections, and it is the most realistic wave for surfers based around Oslo.

Local tips

Paddle all the way to the right to find an exit through the rocks. Saltstein Surfeklubb posts the local rules: follow surf etiquette. Strong currents run here. Water is about 5–7 °C in late winter and up to about 16–18 °C in late summer: a 5/4 with boots, gloves and a hood from autumn to spring.

Getting there

Surfers must park at Oddane Sand Camping, only while it is open, in the marked spaces outside the showers, and must not change in the campsite changing rooms. Breaking these rules could get all surfers banned from parking.
