A short reef wave at the west end of Arma di Taggia, where the coast road climbs the headland towards Sanremo. It breaks over rock and patches of sand and only wakes up with a proper south-east to south storm swell. Rides are short, but it is one of the few reefs on this part of the Riviera di Ponente.

Travel notes

How often it works
Fickle. It needs a 1 m or bigger storm swell from the south-east or south, which comes a handful of times each winter. Summer is flat.
Crowd and vibe
Usually only a few surfers. Weekends can fill up when the whole coast is working, so wait your turn.
Camping and vans
No campsite right at the spot. The nearest we found is Villaggio dei Fiori near Sanremo, about 8 km west; there is a camper stop at Santo Stefano al Mare, about 5 km east. Nearest campsite about 8.5 km away.
Facilities
Bars, shops and parking in Arma di Taggia, a short walk away. There are no facilities at the reef itself.
Water quality
The nearby EU bathing sites (Bussana, Zona Confine Sanremo) were rated excellent in 2025. The Armea stream mouth, about 1 km away, rates lower, so avoid it after rain.
