A rocky left on the reef off the Platé point, the headland between Siouville beach and Diélette harbour. It only wakes up in a big, clean west to north-west swell, and then it peels into the bay. Wannasurf calls it maybe the best wave in the area. Most days it is flat or messy, so it is rarely surfed.

Local tips

Check it when Siouville is too big or closing out: the point needs that much swell before the left starts. Surf it from low to mid tide on the falling tide, and paddle out on the bay side of the point, away from the rocks.

Getting there

From Diélette harbour, take the road up the hill towards Siouville and turn right onto a small road about halfway up; it ends at the spot, a few minutes' walk from the water.

Travel notes

How often it works
Rare. Wannasurf says it breaks only sometimes and needs 2–2.5 m of swell to start, and surf-forecast notes that summer is mostly flat. It is a big-swell spot for days when the open beaches are maxed out.
Crowd and vibe
Empty on weekdays and weekends, according to wannasurf. The few people who surf it are experienced locals, and wannasurf lists localism among the dangers, so be patient and respectful.
Camping and vans
The 3-star municipal Camping de Clairefontaine is about 350 m from the beach, near the surf school. It has over 100 pitches, camper-van pitches and mobile homes, and closes its gates at night. Le Ranch at Le Rozel and Les Mielles at Surtainville are further south. Nearest campsite about 1 km away.
Facilities
Nothing at the point itself. Cafés, showers and the Cotentin Surf Club are at Siouville beach, and the marina at Diélette has restaurants.
Water quality
Not a monitored bathing site. The nearest monitored beaches at Siouville-Hague were rated excellent by ARS Normandie for 2025.
