One of the best lefts on Tenerife, in front of a pebble beach at the village of Igueste on the north-east coast. A long wave with big walls breaks over volcanic reef and has hollow sections on its best days. Its several sections let surfers choose a part that suits their level.

When it works

✓ A 1.5–2.5 m north to east swell with a northwest wind, at low tide.

When it doesn't

✕ It needs swell from the north-east sector, so it often sits flat. High tide makes it slow.
