A very long right-hand point below the cliffs at the north end of Inch Strand. The wave runs along a rock ledge, and on a good day one ride can cover 400 m or more. Those days are rare, which is part of why Irish surfers talk about it so much.

When it doesn't

✕ Usually the swell and the wind are not right at the same time. High tide and westerly winds spoil it.

Local tips

Getting into and out of the water is awkward. A well-known current pulls away from the point, so plan where you will paddle. When it breaks, expect a lot of people.

Getting there

Use the car park at the north end of Inch Strand, or pull in by the road and walk down the cliff path.
