A straight stretch of coast in Thy National Park, once known for steady barrels right on the beach. Collapsing dunes have pushed the sand further out, so the line-up now sits far from shore, but it still turns on now and then with a fast, hollow left.

There is almost always a strong current to the north. The waves are stronger than they look from the dune. Water drops to about 5 °C in winter: a 5/4 or 6/5 wetsuit with boots, gloves and a hood.

Getting there

Small roads lead from Lyngby village to a dune car park; walk over to the beach.
