Mawgan Porth is a wide sandy bay with a small stream, between Watergate Bay and the Bedruthan cliffs. Some sand stays dry even at high tide, and it works on most tides. Learners get mellow peaks, and lefts break near the stream. The waves break a long way out, so they are often bigger than they look from the car park.
