The Ogmore River meets the sea here, between the dunes of Merthyr Mawr and the rocky shore of Ogmore-by-Sea. The river builds a sandbar that gives short lefts and longer rights. The waves can be fast and punchy, but the spot is fickle and needs a proper swell from the south-west.
