Pors Poulhan is a small, little-known sand-and-rock beach beside the Pors Poulhan harbour, on the border of Plouhinec and Plozévet in the Baie d'Audierne. Hollow lefts and rights break over sand and rock; locals rate the right at around 2 m, while the left is harder to make. It breaks only now and then, best on the lower half of the rising tide, and a rip sets up once the swell passes about 2.5 m, so with the rocks and the harbour wall it is for experienced surfers.

Local tips
Paddle out through the harbour or jump off the jetty, and plan the way back in: a rip runs in front of the harbour and makes it hard to get back once the swell passes about 2.5 m. Rocks surround the take-off, so stay alert on every wave. The line-up is usually empty; keep it low-key.
Getting there
Drive to the Pors Poulhan harbour and walk a couple of minutes to the water.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Unreliable. The corner by the harbour needs a clean west-south-west swell of about 1.2–2 m and the right tide. Above about 2.5 m, a strong current by the harbour makes it too dangerous, so it rarely works.
- Crowd and vibe
- Almost always empty. The few people who surf it are locals who would like it to stay unknown, so keep a low profile and don't advertise it.
- Camping and vans
- Camping La Corniche in Plozévet is about 2.5 km east of the harbour. Plozévet allows free overnight parking, with no services, at the Gored beach car park (about 1 km east) and the Menhir car park. Nearest campsite about 2.5 km away.
- Facilities
- Just a small fishing harbour with parking, a granite statue of a Bigoudène woman and the GR34 coast path. The nearest listed toilets are at Gored beach, about 1 km east, which has no lifeguard.
- Water quality
- There is no official bathing site at the harbour. The nearest, Gored beach about 1 km east, was rated only Good for 2025 after a poor sample in September 2025, and three 2026 samples were just average.
