The northern of Saint-Brevin's two surf beaches, a long Blue Flag strip of sand and dunes just north of L'Ermitage, closer to the Loire estuary. Waves are usually small and easy, rarely more than about 1.5 m, and a little weaker than at L'Ermitage, which picks up swell slightly better. It is the town's official kitesurf beach and a summer base for a surf school, so it suits beginners and longboarders on modest swells.

Local tips
On a rising tide L'Ermitage just to the south is usually a touch better, so check both before paddling out. When the wind turns onshore the beach fills with kitesurfers, so keep clear of their lines and launch area. In high season the bathing zone is marked off and lessons run on the beach.
Getting there
A free car park open all year sits by the beach, with toilets and a decked path over the dunes; a free Brevibus shuttle stop is about 300 m away. Les Robins des Vagues teach here in July and August.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- It sits in the shelter of the Loire estuary, so it needs a decent west swell to work. Most days the waves are small, which suits beginners.
- Crowd and vibe
- It is a quiet, easy-going beginner beach. In summer the lessons and the kitesurfers take up the most space.
- Camping and vans
- Camping Sunelia Le Fief and Camping La Dune de Jade in Saint-Brevin are both about 2–2.5 km away. Nearest campsite about 2 km away.
- Facilities
- There are toilets, showers, drinking water and a summer lifeguard post, and Les Robins des Vagues teach here in July and August.
- Water quality
- The Rochelets monitoring point was rated good every season from 2022 to 2025. In 2026, one of its ten samples was only average. The beach is close to the mouth of the Loire, so avoid it after heavy rain.
