On Passeig Marítim del Bogatell, Poblenou. Metro L4 to Ciutadella–Vila Olímpica or Llacuna, then a short walk.

Travel notes

How often it works
Works only in easterly wind swell, mostly October to April. Small most of the time, with a few better days after winter storms.
Crowd and vibe
Busy on weekends and when the swell is up, but calmer than Barceloneta. A mix of locals, students and surf schools.
Camping and vans
No campsites in Barcelona. The nearest are in Gavà and Castelldefels, about 19 to 22 km south. Nearest campsite about 19 km away.
Facilities
A city beach with lifeguards in summer, showers, toilets and beach bars.
Water quality
Náyade lists Bogatell as fit for bathing, with no failed samples in 2026. As on every Barcelona beach, the water gets dirty after heavy rain.
