Travel notes

How often it works
Only a few days a year. It needs a real east swell, which comes with winter storms, and it is flat for most of summer.
Crowd and vibe
Quiet in the week, busy on weekends when it works. The line-up is mostly local surfers from the Maresme coast.
Camping and vans
Campsite listings on OpenStreetMap show nothing close. The nearest is Camping Barcelona in Mataró, about 16 km north-east. Nearest campsite about 16 km away.
Facilities
Town beach with a promenade, cafés and the marina next door.
Water quality
Náyade lists Platja del Masnou as fit for bathing, and all nine samples in 2026 were well within the limits.
