Batz-sur-Mer's longest beach, about 740 m of sand between rocky points on the Côte Sauvage, with mostly left-handers breaking over sand and scattered rock. Reefs just offshore absorb much of the swell, so it is often small or flat and summer is usually dead. When a solid west or south-west swell does line up, a long left can peel well at low tide, and one longtime local rates his best sessions in the area here. Few surfers bother with it, so it is quiet even on good days.

Local tips
It is worth a look at low tide on bigger swells, especially when La Govelle is crowded, but expect short, weak waves on most days. A sailing school works in the middle of the bay in July and August, so give its boats room. Rocks frame both ends of the beach.
Getting there
Take the D245 toward Le Croisic and follow signs for Plage Valentin and the sailing school; there is free parking near the beach, plus toilets and food on site. SNSM lifeguards cover it on July and August afternoons.
