Les Culs Nus sits between La Nord and La Gravière, about 100 m north of the Rockfood restaurant, on a beach traditionally used by naturists. It is a fast, punchy beach break with a steep drop, working from half a metre to well over 2.5 m, and it is often described as the most consistent spot in Hossegor. On its day it is nearly as good as the main peaks in front of town with fewer people. It suits advanced surfers.

Local tips
It works at all tides, so check it when La Gravière is too full or too fat. Early mornings are usually quieter. Like the rest of Hossegor it breaks close to shore, so be ready for a hard paddle out on bigger days.
Getting there
From the Hossegor seafront walk north along the dune past the Rockfood restaurant; it is a short walk from the boulevard de la Dune car parks.
History
