Dalbosc (also written Dalbos or Dalbosc'h) is a small sand-and-rock beach just west of the Petit Minou, facing south across the entrance to the Brest roads. On a south-west swell at low tide it throws fast, hollow waves, mostly lefts with some rights. It closes out often, and the water rises quickly over the line-up with the tide, but on the right day it is one of the best waves near Brest.

From the Petit Minou road, take the next lane on the left (west) towards Dalbosc and park by the road above the beach.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Breaks fairly often for this sheltered corner, because it is open to south-west swell, but good days are few: it closes out a lot. Like the rest of the Brest roads, it is mostly flat in summer.
- Crowd and vibe
- Usually empty in the week and only a few surfers at weekends, though it fills up when it works. Few visitors know it; be patient and polite with the locals.
- Camping and vans
- The nearest campsite is the municipal Camping de Portez in Locmaria-Plouzané, open April to mid-October with motorhome services, about 3 km west along the coast. Nearest campsite about 3 km away.
- Facilities
- None at the beach. The Petit Minou next door has toilets, drinking water and a surf school.
- Water quality
- Dalbosc is not an official bathing site, so it has no rating. The Minou beach next door was rated excellent from 2022 to 2024 and good in 2025.
