La Madrague and Petite Madrague have good sandbanks in front of their car parks and are regarded as a classic Anglet beach break. The peaks are hollow, fast and fun, with lefts and rights, and the spot is very consistent. Local guides list it among the best beaches in Anglet for beginners, who use the inside on small days while better surfers sit on the outer banks.
