Les Sables d'Or is the best-known beach of the Chambre d'Amour district, set between groynes in front of the promenade. Its banks give hollow, fast, fun peaks for every level and it works at all tides, so there is almost always someone in the water. It has a surf school and, each summer, hosts the floodlit Anglet night-surfing contest.
