Kersiguénou is the middle section of the Anse de Dinan, between Kerloc'h and Goulien, below a cliff about 30 m high and split in two by a rocky point. It works on moderate to big swell, when the sandbanks and rocks shape soft waves that can run a long way, and it is best before the tide gets high. It is usually quieter than its neighbours and one of the gentlest spots on the west coast of the peninsula, though it is the most wind-exposed beach in the bay.

Local tips
Leave the water before high tide on a good swell: rocks near the point get covered at the end of the rising tide and you can get trapped against the northern cliffs. Seaweed drifts with the wind, gathering south of the point in a northerly and north of it in a southerly. Above about 15–20 knots of wind, kitesurfers and windsurfers share the bay, so stay upwind of their zone. After heavy winter rain, watch the cliff, which can drop rocks.
Getting there
On the D8 from Crozon towards Camaret, turn left towards the hamlet of Kersiguénou just before the road climbs a small hill, and follow the lane to the beach. The walk down takes 5–15 minutes.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Works on medium swells, from about 1.5–2 m out at sea, and tops out at around 2.5 m. It is the most wind-exposed of the three beaches in the Anse de Dinan, so onshore wind spoils many days.
- Crowd and vibe
- One of the emptiest beaches on the peninsula, quiet even at weekends. Most surfers head for Kerloc'h, Goulien or La Palue instead. Part of the beach is used by naturists, and kitesurfers and windsurfers share the bay on windy days.
- Camping and vans
- The 3-star Camping de la Plage de Goulien is about 1.3 km away, at the south end of the same bay. It opens roughly from late April to mid-September. The Goulien beach car park is daytime only, with a height barrier and reports of fines for overnight stays. Nearest campsite about 1.5 km away.
- Facilities
- The official listing says it has lifeguards in summer (check on site), but there is little else. The nearest café, shop and surf school are at Goulien, at the south end of the bay.
- Water quality
- It is an official bathing site and rated good every year from 2022 to 2025. Every test in 2025 and 2026 was also good.
