Soustons Plage, also called Pinsolles after the nearby lake, is a quiet beach reached by a short walk over the dune from the car park. Several left and right peaks spread out along the sand, so even on good days you can often find a bank to yourself. The waves are powerful but fun, comparable to Seignosse on a good bank, and the spot is very consistent. It makes a good alternative to busier Vieux-Boucau.

Travel notes
- How often it works
- This open beach picks up any west swell and has waves most days. The sandbanks and the current decide how good it is. It closes out on big swells.
- Crowd and vibe
- It is fairly quiet. In summer people gather near the access path. Walk south along the beach and you soon leave them behind.
- Camping and vans
- The motorhome aire at Soustons-Plage closed in November 2022. The nearest campsite is Camping Les Sablères in Vieux-Boucau, about 2 km north. Nearest campsite about 2 km away.
- Facilities
- There is shaded parking behind the dune, about a 10-minute walk from the sand, and a lifeguard post in summer. More shops and cafés are around the Lac Marin and in Vieux-Boucau.
- Water quality
- Both of Soustons' bathing sites are rated excellent in the official French rating (national open data, 2022).
