A Marosa is a small cove beach of fine sand in Burela, 250 m long, west of the harbour. It sits between two rocky points, Punta das Laxes and Pena Grande, and a promenade links it to the town's other beaches. Lefts and rights break over sand and scattered rock. It works on most tides and is rarely busy. Strong rips run out along the rocks when the swell builds.
