Oliñas is a sandy bay at San Miguel de Reinante in Barreiros, just east of the Foz estuary. Many in Lugo rate it as the best sand-bottom wave on this coast when the sandbanks line up, and on its day it counts among the best in Galicia. Several peaks break along long lines. In winter it throws fast, powerful and often hollow waves, and the heaviest peak is usually in front of the beach restaurant. It works in small swells and is rarely crowded, even though surfers come from all along the north coast.

Travel notes
- How often it works
- One of the more reliable beaches in A Mariña. It faces north into the open sea, so it picks up even small north and north-west swells, and often has clean lines when nearby spots are flat.
- Crowd and vibe
- Usually quiet, with only a few surfers out on most days. Good days and weekends bring surfers from along the north coast, and visitors have described the locals as friendly, with peaks for everyone.
- Camping and vans
- Camping A Gaivota sits across the road from Barreiros beach, about 0.5 km away. Camping A Nosa Casa is on the beach at Reinante, about 3 km east. Nearest campsite about 0.5 km away.
- Facilities
- Parking right by the sand, showers and a beach restaurant in front of the main peak.
- Water quality
- Barreiros' 2026 Blue Flags went to Coto, Fontela-Valea and Pasadas, not this beach. Wannasurf lists pollution as a hazard but gives no details, and we found no official water rating.
