Esteiro is a wild beach in Mañón, at the mouth of the O Barqueiro estuary and the foot of the Estaca de Bares peninsula. It has 1 km of fine white sand, backed by protected dunes with boardwalks and almost no buildings. Peaks break both ways, but the standout wave is a left that runs off the rocks at the northern end. It is fairly consistent and usually uncrowded, even on good days. Rips are strong, and there is a surf school nearby.
