Santiago is Deba's town beach, beside the mouth of the Deba river. At low tide it joins Lapari beach to make a strip of about 400 to 500 m. The bottom is sand mixed with rock, and there are several peaks in both directions, including a wave by the breakwater and the Zezen Arroka break. It suits beginners on small days and intermediates when there is more swell, although guides do not rate it as a top-quality beach break.
