Saturraran is a 300 m beach of golden sand at the far western edge of Gipuzkoa, on the border with Bizkaia, between Mutriku and Ondarroa. It faces roughly north-north-west, and the official beach guide notes that waves arrive here with force. Two rock stacks stand on the beach; local legend says they are the lovers Satur and Aran. Surf guides say little about it, so treat it as a local beach break.

Check the banks and the rocks around the stacks before paddling out, since we found no detailed surf guide for it. In summer the beach is busy with bathers, and part of it is a nudist area.
Getting there
From Mutriku take the GI-638 and turn right at the sign for the beach, where there is a large car park, a bar and a campsite nearby. Buses on the Lekeitio–Donostia line stop about five minutes' walk away.
