Esteiro is a 400 m sandy beach in Xove, just outside the Viveiro estuary, backed by protected dunes and low granite rocks with a small stream at one end. It faces north-west into the open sea, so it picks up most swells. Peaks shift with the sandbanks and break both ways along the whole beach. Small days suit learners; with more swell the waves get fast and good for turns.
