Fécamp's beach is about 800 m of pebbles north-east of the harbour jetties, between the marina and the casino, backed by a promenade and running up to the Cap Fagnet cliffs. A westerly swell wraps along the jetty and gives mostly lefts, with sandbanks showing at low tide and rocks in the line-up at lower tides. By Caux standards it is fairly consistent when the Channel has swell, though summer is mostly flat. Windsurfers also ride it as a wave spot in strong west-south-westerlies.

Local tips
Note where the rocks are at low tide before the water covers them. At high tide the shorebreak on the pebbles is violent, so wait for the tide to drop before going in; boots make getting in much easier. Currents can be strong, and the harbour end has boat traffic.
Getting there
Several paid car parks sit behind the beach, at the casino, by the promenade and on Boulevard Albert 1er. The beach has toilets, showers and a lifeguarded zone in season.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Surf-forecast calls this open, west-facing beach fairly consistent for the area. It picks up both local wind waves and longer swells from the west, though summers are mostly flat.
- Crowd and vibe
- Rarely crowded; no surf crowd is reported. On windy west-south-west days you share the waves with windsurfers.
- Camping and vans
- Camping de Renéville sits on terraces on the cliff just above town, within walking distance of the beach. It has a pool, sea views and its own motorhome service area, and opens from late March to mid-November. Nearest campsite about 1 km away.
- Facilities
- Toilets, showers and summer lifeguards, with restaurants and summer kiosks on the promenade. A water-sports centre by the marina offers sailing, windsurf, SUP and canoe, but no surf school was found.
- Water quality
- ARS Normandie rated Fécamp beach excellent for 2025, and it held a Pavillon Bleu (Blue Flag) that year. Avoid the busy fishing and marina harbour at the northern end after heavy rain.
