A right point below the Groin du Cou lighthouse at the western end of La Tranche-sur-Mer, where swells wrap around the headland and peel over a flat rock shelf. On its day the rides are long, 150–300 m and sometimes more, with several take-off spots along the point. The wave is gentle and easy to ride, which makes it a longboard favourite, though every kind of board turns up when it works. It needs a solid swell to wake up, so it is mostly a winter fallback when the open beaches are too big.

Local tips
Paddle out near the old bunker, ride down the point, then walk back up along the shore and go again rather than paddling against the run. Surf it close to high tide so the rock shelf is well covered; even at mid tide you can feel the rocks underfoot getting in and out, so boots help. Locals are friendly if you respect priority on the main peak.
Getting there
Follow the 'Le Phare' signs from La Tranche-sur-Mer to the Groin du Cou lighthouse (Impasse de la Youte); there is a car park about 50 m from the beach with space for campervans.
