A narrow beach in front of Georges Clemenceau's seaside house at Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard, with rocks around the point and along the shore. It sits in the lee of the coast and rarely breaks; when it does, it gives small, slow waves with long gaps between sets. It is a calm, rarely surfed spot for easy longboarding or a first session when the open beaches nearby are too big. Sources on it are few, so expect to judge it on the day.

When it works

When it doesn't
✕ Most days the swell does not reach it, and at the top of big tides the beach almost disappears.

Local tips
Watch the rocks around the point, which also make it a tight place to enter and exit. The beach is very narrow at high tide, so pick the mid-tide window if there is enough water over the ledges. When it is flat here, Bud Bud and Les Conches are a few kilometres east.
Getting there
On the coast road below the Maison de Clemenceau (D19A); the small car park fills quickly with visitors to the house, so arrive early or come by bike.
