Barinatxe, better known as La Salvaje, lies between Sopela and Getxo below flysch cliffs. It is one of the most consistent spots in the Basque Country, with sand and rock giving powerful, hollow peaks at almost any tide. The best-known wave is La Triangular, a long right off a rocky bottom with a tight but forgiving peak, which holds plenty of size and has a steeper left at low tide. La Batidora on the west side is mostly lefts, and La Corriente in the middle is a technical left that changes with tide, swell and current.
