Orzán is A Coruña's city-centre beach and the heart of urban surfing in Galicia. Peaks break along the whole bay in front of the promenade, over sand with some rock; the promenade is an easy place to check the waves. The middle peak throws lefts and rights that often close out, and the Camallón right is an easier wave in spring and summer. It picks up almost any north-west or west swell with some size. Surf schools and long-time locals share the water, so it is usually busy.
