Sabón is a long beach in Arteixo, just west of A Coruña, next to the outer port and the Sabón industrial estate. The port breakwater cuts some swell, but it also piled up sand that now forms good, changing peaks along the beach. They give long rides with powerful sections, steep walls and the odd tube. It is very consistent, working about 150 days a year. It handles the summer north-east winds well, so it is popular with surf schools and beginners in summer.
