Kersidan is a long, south-facing fine-sand beach on the Trégunc coast between the Pointe de Trévignon and Raguénès, used by local surf schools. Most of the time the sea is calm enough for swimming, and the beach is better known for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Only a big west to south-west swell reaches this coast, and then the waves are short, fast and close to shore.

Local tips
It only comes alive in a real winter swell, so check it when the exposed Pays Bigouden beaches are too big. The point at the end of the beach can spoil the waves, especially at low tide, so the middle of the tide is the safer bet. The waves break close to the sand, so watch the shorebreak.
Getting there
The beach has three car parks and toilets, but no lifeguards. A water-sports base runs here in summer.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- Rarely surfable. It faces south, so it misses most of the west and north-west swells that reach the Pays Bigouden. It needs a big winter swell from the west or south-west, and most of the year the sea here is calm.
- Crowd and vibe
- There are no reports of surf crowds here, because few people know it as a surf spot. On windy days you share the water with windsurfers and kitesurfers, and in summer with swimmers.
- Camping and vans
- Camping Le Suroît is right behind Kersidan beach, a few steps from the sand. It looks out to the Glénan islands. Nearest campsite about 0.5 km away.
- Facilities
- There are three car parks and toilets, but no showers or lifeguards. In summer there is a sailing base on the beach, and the Le Suroît campsite has a bar facing the sea.
- Water quality
- The ARS rated Kersidan's water excellent every year from 2022 to 2025.
