La Lette Blanche is a wild, lifeguarded beach in the forest between Saint-Girons-Plage and Moliets, with only a lifeguard post and a car park under the pines. It is an open beach break with short, fun lefts and rights over sandbanks, and longer rides on good days. It works at any tide, gets both groundswell and wind swell, and suits every level. Few people surf it, so it is the quiet alternative when Moliets is crowded.

Local tips
Come here when Moliets or Saint-Girons are busy, especially at weekends. Look at the banks from the top of the dune and pick a peak with a channel beside it. The beach is supervised only in July and August, so outside that time you surf on your own.
Getting there
From Vielle-Saint-Girons take the D328 toward Pichelèbe and Moliets. About 1 km after the naturist holiday village of Arnaoutchot, a discreet turning leads to a free, shaded car park; a wooden walkway crosses the dune to the beach. The Vélodyssée cycle path also passes nearby.
Travel notes
- How often it works
- The beach is fully open to the Atlantic and gets waves most days of the year. Like the rest of the Landes coast, it depends on how the sandbanks sit and closes out on big swells.
- Crowd and vibe
- It is empty on most weekdays and has only a few surfers at weekends. In summer, surf camps and families use it, but it stays far quieter than Moliets or Hossegor.
- Camping and vans
- The closest campsite is the naturist holiday village of Arnaoutchot, about 1 km north (naturists only). For everyone else, Camping Eurosol at Saint-Girons-Plage is about 5.5 km north. Nearest campsite about 5.5 km away.
- Facilities
- There is a lifeguard post in summer, toilets, showers and an amphibious beach chair for people with reduced mobility. There is no village here; one guide lists a summer bar, an older one says there are no shops, so bring what you need.
- Water quality
- All four of Vielle-Saint-Girons's bathing sites are rated excellent in the official French rating (national open data, 2022).
