A Aguieira is a north-facing beach near Porto do Son, inside the Ría de Muros e Noia, and it is flat most of the year. When a large winter swell wraps into the ría, a powerful left peels from the rocks at the western end, over flat rock and sand, and rides can be long. It breaks on only a handful of days a year: a rare big-day option with south winds, and a regional classic for experienced surfers. On those days it draws a crowd, and the locals are out.

Travel notes
- How often it works
- Very fickle: it faces north, tucked inside the Ría de Muros e Noia, so only a big swell wraps in. Wannasurf puts it at about five days a year.
- Crowd and vibe
- Because it breaks so rarely, every good day draws a crowd of experienced surfers. Wannasurf lists localism as a hazard, so be patient and respectful.
- Camping and vans
- Camping Cabeiro, which takes tents and caravans and has cabins and a café, is about 2 km away. Camping Punta Batuda at Miñortos is about 4.5 km away. Nearest campsite about 2 km away.
- Facilities
- No services are listed at the break; the nearest café and showers are at Camping Cabeiro.
- Water quality
- Not on the 2026 Bandera Azul list (no Porto do Son beach is), and no official water rating was found. It sits inside the ría, away from the open ocean.
