Río Sieira is the northern part of the Xuño beach system in Porto do Son, where the small Sieira river reaches the sea, between hills and next to the Coviña pine wood. Several sand peaks give quick, hollow, punchy lefts and rights, with rides of 50 to 150 m. It is very consistent all year and works on small swells, but it is best with solid autumn and winter swells. It is a regular stop for bodyboarders as well as surfers. Beginners are better off at As Furnas just to the south.
