La Jenny is a beach south of Le Gressier in front of the naturist holiday village of the same name, on an isolated stretch between Le Porge and the Cap Ferret peninsula. It is a sand-bottomed beach break with lefts and rights over the same kind of bars as the rest of the Gironde coast, often hollow and well shaped on small to medium west swells. The walk in keeps the lineup thin even in summer. The beach is naturist, though open to everyone.

Local tips

This is a good place to escape the summer crowds of Le Porge and Lacanau, but the current along the beach can be strong, particularly outside the guarded season. Out of season the beach feels remote, so surf with someone else. Respect the naturist character of the beach.

Getting there

Take the Route de la Jenny off the Le Porge to Cap Ferret road and walk in on foot through the woods north of the naturist village entrance. Parking near the beach is restricted and visitors often leave cars along the road, so expect a walk.

Travel notes

How often it works
Wannasurf counts about 150 surfable days a year. Like nearby Grand Crohot, it picks up most west swells.
Crowd and vibe
It stays quiet even in summer because you have to walk in. Wannasurf lists it as empty on weekdays and with few surfers at weekends.
Camping and vans
Camping La Grigne in Le Porge-Océan is about 4.5 km north. Camping Brémontier in Lège is about 6.5 km south. Nearest campsite about 4.5 km away.
Facilities
Parking is limited, so expect a walk through the woods. In summer the beach has a lifeguard post, showers and drinking water.
