Pors ar Villec, right by Locquirec village near the tip of the peninsula, is the most powerful wave around Locquirec and locally rated the most reliable. Hollow, dumping lefts and rights break over a sand-covered rock shelf, with rides of up to about 100 m. It takes a big north-westerly swell and is best from mid to high tide on the rising tide. Rocks stay close to the surface even at high tide, so it suits experienced surfers, and it draws a crowd as soon as it breaks.

Travel notes

How often it works
Surf-forecast lists it as the most reliable Locquirec spot in winter, with clean surf about 57% of the time in December. Even so, it needs a solid north-westerly swell to break over the rock shelf. It is mostly flat in summer.
Crowd and vibe
The busiest spot in Locquirec. It is quiet on weekdays but crowded at weekends. Visitors describe a packed take-off area of locals and longboarders, even on small days, and some find it unwelcoming. Be patient and wait your turn.
Camping and vans
The municipal Camping du Fond de la Baie is about 2 km away in a straight line, on the route de Plestin. It is open all year with 244 pitches and a motorhome area. The Camping GCU Les Sables Blancs, about 1 km west, opens only in summer. Nearest campsite about 1 km away.
Facilities
Right in the village, with toilets, showers, summer lifeguards, and cafés and restaurants a short walk away. The nearest surf school is Surfing Locquirec at Moulin de la Rive.
Water quality
Rated Excellent in the official 2025 bathing-water ranking, but the September 2025 test came back poor. The small harbour next door and rain run-off can briefly lower quality.
