Pors Nevez is a small corner at the east end of Trestraou, tucked behind a rocky point. A right peels over rock partly covered by sand, softer than the main beach and longer on good days, at its best around mid tide as the water drops. It is fickle and needs a decent westerly swell. Space is limited, the locals do not like a crowd, and it gets packed at weekends.

Local tips

Aim for mid tide on the falling tide. Weekdays are far quieter than weekends, when the small peak gets packed, so pick your time and wait your turn behind the regulars. Because of the rocky bottom and the crowd, some surfers wear a helmet here.

Getting there

Walk east along Trestraou beach in Perros-Guirec to the small beach behind the point at its eastern end. It is a few minutes on foot from the Trestraou car park.

Travel notes

How often it works
Fickle. It needs at least 1.5 to 2 m of west to north-west swell to bend into this sheltered corner, so it is usually flat outside winter. In January, its best month, it is clean about three days in ten and too small half the time.
Crowd and vibe
There is only one small take-off area, and it gets packed with locals at weekends. Visitors report a strong local presence. Weekdays are much calmer, and some surfers wear a helmet because of the crowd and the rocks.
Camping and vans
The seven-place motorhome car park on Rue de Pors Nevez is right by the spot but has no water or waste services. Camping du Domaine de Trestraou is about 50 m from the main beach. Motorhomes can also use the Camping-Car Park aire at the Ranolien in Ploumanac'h. Nearest campsite about 0.5 km away.
Facilities
There are no facilities at the cove itself. Trestraou beach next door has showers, toilets, summer lifeguards, cafés, restaurants and a surf school.
Water quality
Pors Nevez is not tested separately. Ministry data, as republished online, rate neighbouring Trestraou 'good' every year from 2022 to 2025, with a few average summer samples.
