Mar de Fóra is a wild, 700 m sand beach on the open west side of the Fisterra peninsula, in a Natura 2000 area with dunes behind it. It faces the open Atlantic, so it needs very little swell to work. Peaks move along the beach with the sand and give long, fast waves. When the sea gets big, strong rip currents make it a spot for fit, experienced surfers only.
